We have previously mentioned Erfurt the capital of the Thuringia region. In this blog, we will talk about Jena, also located in Thuringia. Jena, a city where every corner tells a story, where history meets modernity, and nature complements culture. You may know Paris as the "City of Light" but did you know that Jena is also known as the "City of Light"? This is because minds like the scientists Carl Zeiss, Ernst Abbe and, somewhat later, Otto Schott combined their expertise in mathematics, physics, chemistry and precision mechanics to develop microscopes and optical instruments that revolutionized research. We are going to show you why Jena deserves more recognition and it should be a place to consider visiting.
