Bremen Town Musicians
The Bremen Town Musicians are probably the best-known landmark of the Hanseatic city. A bronze statue by Gerhard Marcks has commemorated the popular fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm in the heart of Bremen since 1953. According to the story, the donkey, dog, cat and rooster once set off for the city on the Weser to find a better life here.
UNESCO World Heritage Site (Town Hall and Roalnd)
Bremen's pride and joy is the ensemble of the Town Hall and Roland, which has been on UNESCO's World Heritage List since 2014. The duo presents itself beautifully on the north-east side of Bremen's market square and stands for democracy and freedom in a unique way. The town hall has been the seat of local self-government and the state government since it was built in 1405, while the Roland, erected in 1404, has always symbolized the rights and privileges of the Hanseatic city. Well worth a visit! Roland is happy to hold still for a photo with you and the town hall is not just an absolute eye-catcher from the outside. The doors of the magnificent building are also open to you on interesting guided tours or during a visit to the unique Ratskeller.
Ratskeller Bremen
The "delicious foundation of the town hall" - Bremen's Ratskeller is not nicknamed this for nothing. The vaults below the Liebfrauenkirchhof and the Domshof not only house one of Bremen's most traditional restaurants, but also the world's largest selection of exclusively German wines. As part of Bremen's town hall, the Ratskeller is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and impresses with its more than 600 years of history.
Coffee culture
Every third cup of coffee drunk in Germany comes from Bremen and almost every second imported bean is imported via the Hanseatic city. So it's no wonder that coffee culture is cultivated in many places in the city on the Weser and that the city's long coffee history is continued on a daily basis. Bremen even has its own word for the cultivated enjoyment of coffee: kaffeesieren. Enjoy the brown bean with us

Worlds of knowledge
"Explain it to me and I'll forget it. Show me and I will remember. Let me do it myself and I will understand." True to this motto of Confucius, knowledge and science are brought to life and presented in a vivid and creative way in Bremen's so-called Worlds of Knowledge. At University of Bremen, you can stop real lightning, overcome gravity or trick your own senses. At the Übersee-Museum (Overseas Museum), you can travel from Oceania to Africa and America. And in the botanika, pure nature awaits you in the middle of the city. Embedded in the surroundings of the famous Rhododendron Park, you can go on a vivid journey through the world of plants and discover fascinating topics such as biodiversity or plant ecology.

The Schnoor district
The Schnoor, or Schnoorviertel, is one of Bremen's absolute highlights. Just a few hundred meters from Bremen's market square, this unique and oldest quarter of the city delights both locals and numerous visitors from all over the world.
The quarter - pubs, culture and cuisine
Behind the Weser, the Ostertor and Steintor districts come together to form the lively and popular quarter that the people of Bremen simply call the "Viertel". Just a stone's throw from Bremen's city center, you can look forward to a colorful cultural and pub scene, numerous individual shopping opportunities, a varied gastronomic offer and many beautiful examples of the typical Bremen house.
